He is my rock and my salvation. He is my defender; I will not be defeated. My honor and salvation come from God. He is my mighty rock and my protection. People, trust God all the time. Tell him all your problems, because God is our protection. Selah -Psalm 62:6-8
Where is your safe place? A place you go when storms arise or just to get away from the chaos of this world. What comes to mind when I say "a place to find security, love and protection".
For many it's probably their home or their parent's home. For my daughters it's their beds. The comforts of their pillows and blankets make them feel safe. Of course when trouble arises they will say wherever mom and dad are. Any parent should help their children feel safe and secure. No matter how old they get it's the parent they run to for the love and support. For me, when I'm sick, I still call my mom to hear her safe, comforting voice. And I know, if need be, my parent's would drop everything to help me in a time of need.
On earth homes and families are the best safe place there is, but there is someone we can rely on more than family. Jesus has promised to be a safe place. He has built a stronghold of protection for each of us if we would just go to Him for that protection. Just like we run to our home, our families, or beds to feel safe we can run to Jesus. He can handle the pain, the fear, the yelling and He will always be there to give comfort and help us find words of encouragement to move forward. Remember He will fight for you so go to Him for that safe place you've been seeking all along.
