Read the Bible To Understand God’s Power

“In the beginning there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were made by him, and nothing was made without him. In him there was life, and that life was the light of all people. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it.” -John 1:1-5

When you begin to think how electricity works it can become mind boggling. It's amazing how just flipping a switch can give you lights in your home or turning a key starts the motor in your vehicle. My husband is an electrician, so I see many things he works with along with lots and lots of wires for all sorts of different functions to achieve power. He has tried to explain some of it to me but there's a lot that I can't wrap my mind around because it is not a field of work I do. But nonetheless all the power we receive comes from all those wires that eventually link back to a power plant.

With all the massive power we use daily it's hard to believe there is someone still more powerful than any power plant can provide. But when you begin to read the Bible and have faith, you can quickly learn to understand God's power and it's amazing. With just one word He created our world, just by speaking things came into existence. God parted the Red Sea, crumbled the walls of Jericho, saved Daniel from a lion's den, and kept three brave men safe while standing in a fiery furnace. God sent His Son to heal the sick, feed the multitudes, and to die for our sins and then rise three days later.

God watches over us each day now still performing many powerful miracles. And one day God will send His Son back to this earth through the clouds to take us all to heaven. Yet with all this power, God is love and He cherishes each of us and wants to keep us safe not harm us, that is sin. When we understand God's power we don't have to fear Him. Instead we will see and feel His love in everything that happens around us. Reading the Bible can help us see and understand God so much clearer and we can find a hope and promises that no power in this world can provide. Trust God and have faith. Let Him into your heart so that His light may be in you and can shine for others.
