“But because Jesus lives forever, he will never stop serving as priest. 25 So he is able always to save those who come to God through him because he always lives, asking God to help them.” -Hebrews 7:24-25

‘He’s able, He’s able I know He’s able. I know my Lord is able to carry me through. He healed the broken hearted and set the captive free. He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see…’
I love this Bible song and we’ve sung it with our kids many times. They even have learned actions to do with the song. It’s a simple little song but in those few words it speaks clearly how Jesus is able. He did so many miracles on earth that seemed impossible so why couldn’t He help us today?
All we need to remember when battling Satan and the trials of this world is that He is able. No problem, the hurt or heartache, Jesus is able to bring comfort. No matter how far we have pulled away from Jesus, He is able to bring us back. Like the song says, “I know my Lord is able to carry me through”.
Jesus wants us to turn to Him to trust Him and find all the strength we need each day to face any giants that step in our path. Through the Old Testament God was able and He did. In the New Testament Jesus was able and He did. Today they have the power of both and they are able, and they will. God is able to take the mess of our past and turn it into a message. He takes the trials and turns them into a testimony. -Christine Caine
