There is nothing like hearing a baby’s heartbeat for the first time. The strength that comes from each beat. I loved those visits to the doctors with each of my children. I loved knowing their hearts were healthy and strong. Of course, as they have grown and started dating I have also seen their hearts broken, I’ve seen their pain as they lost their great grandparents. I’ve seen joy in their hearts as they laughed with friends or played games with us. No matter what they’ve had to go through I’ve seen their hearts endure and come out stronger each time.
There will be times we all go through the pain of a loss or a break-up or struggle through something and we might feel we can’t endure much more. But when we put our life in Jesus’ hands He will help strengthen our hearts to make it through and come out on the other side stronger. Knowing Jesus is with us each day can help give us the strong heart to keep moving forward even through all the rough patches we might encounter.
So, as we wait for God to return we can wait with a strong heart. We know God is here with us and He is looking forward to coming and taking us away from this world. In the meantime, we just keep moving forward living the best we can taking care of ourselves and those we love. The stronger we keep our hearts, the more we can endure and help others through similar difficulties if need be or be a living example of God in us.
