Watch The Conductor

"Each one of us has a body with many parts, and these parts all have different uses. In the same way, we are many, but in Christ we are all one body. Each one is a part of that body, and each part belongs to all the other parts. We all have different gifts, each of which came because of the grace God gave us." -Romans 12:4-6

Have you ever sat and watched a symphony or band play? Almost always there is a conductor standing in front of them directing when to play, how fast or slow to play, even how loud or quiet to play. Without the conductor helping the musicians stay in time there usually is a jumbled mess of sound.

I was in a high school band all four years and although I knew how to play my part and read music I still depended on my conductor. Why, because it's easy to start speeding up the music, even lose your spot as to when to play because so many other instruments are also playing their parts. We watch the conductor because they have learned to read all the different instrumental parts and can bring you in at the exact moment needed to make beautiful music.

Jesus is like a conductor in a symphony . He was part of the creation on this world and He knows how everything works together to make something beautiful. He was also part of creating you and He knows what part you play in life to help keep the world going. When you keep your eyes on the conductor, Jesus, He will keep you in time, show you the right things to do and say and direct you down the right path. Together with Jesus you can help make the right harmony in this symphony of life. Today remember to watch your Conductor.
