Read Your Bible: To Build Faith

So faith comes from hearing the Good News, and people hear the Good News when someone tells them about Christ.” -Romans 10:17

Have you ever heard the term ‘take a leap of faith’? Usually people tell others to do that when they are face with uncertainties about a decision needing to be made. Without concrete evidence or proof, it will all work out, they have to just go for it believing things will be fine.

Faith simply means believing that something is true and then committing our lives to it. In the Bible “faith” means believing in God and in what Christ has done for us to make our salvation possible, and then committing ourselves to Him.

It’s easy to find that faith when we read the Bible daily. We can see God’s hand in everything and when we read the gospels we can see His plan of salvation unfolding. Finally finishing in Revelation, we can see the good news come full circle. Faith is believing that all the words between Genesis and Revelation are true and we have salvation in Christ, a home forever with Him.

Once we fully believe in faith it’s easy to begin sharing with others the joy in your heart. When we live in that faith by our daily actions others too will begin to have faith. The good news begins to spread, and Jesus is filling our lives everywhere. Take a leap of faith today, open your Bible and believe.
