“Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it.” -Hebrews 4:16
There is nothing more comforting or reassuring than answered prayers. Even if your faith is strong there is a reassurance when we see the Lord answer a prayer. Whether big like the healing power of God or small like finding your lost keys, when we approach the throne of God with any prayer, He is listening and answering in some way.
You might feel it’s just misplaced keys or a lost piece of paper why does God care when there are those who are sick or dying. But God cares when you are at unrest and even if it’s losing something small, you are unsettled, and He cares and wants you to find peace again.
I myself have been blessed with answered prayers over big and small matters and now understand why I was taught to pray always. God is listening, and He has helped me find lost items, healed my family from even small issues and big, and He has brought a calming peace to our home in times of unrest.
Hebrews tells us to go before God’s throne and we will find help where we need it. Prayer always doesn’t mean your hours on your knees pleading to God (yes there will be times to be), it simply means you are keeping an open communication with God, talking to Him as you would a friend throughout the day. It means that you have faith that God can provide miracles and help in small and big matters. Trust God today, give Him your small matters too and see that answers begin to overflow and then watch your prayer life grow in Jesus and find peace.
