“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him, and he helps me.
I am very happy, and I praise him with my song. The Lord is powerful; he gives victory to his chosen one.” -Psalm 28:7-8
We need keys to unlock doors, keys to drive a vehicle, keys for locks. Some people also say loved ones can hold the key to their heart. Keys seem to be essential in our everyday living. Did you know God has provided us with some keys too? When we dive into scripture, we can find some of these keys today.
Determine to be Strong- Ephesians 6:10: There’s a song out there that says, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’. We need to determine in our life that no matter what comes our way we know it will only make us stronger because we have God on our side and His strength to pull us through.
Shun Temptations- Matthew 6:9-11: Satan prowls around tempting us with worldly desires just like he did with Eve. To be victorious we need to remember our place on this earth is to teach Jesus to others and we are living for a home by His side in heaven. Resist the devil and resist temptations you know will pull you away from God.
Be Patient- Luke 8:15: My kids used to watch a children’s video on animals. There’s a song in the middle about the turtles and the rabbits. The rabbits are always in a hurry running here and there. When the song goes to the turtle who is moving slowly it sings very slowly, ‘Have patience, have patience…’ A victorious life comes with patience. God is with us and He is molding us in His time when He’s ready, like fruit trees. We just need to slow down and have patience.
Pray Daily- 1 Thessalonians 5:27: It’s only through prayer with Jesus that we can have a victorious life.
Rededicate your life Daily- Galatians 2:20-21: We all sin daily in big ways or small ways. Victorious living can only come when we admit our sins daily and daily rededicate our life to God. Allow Him in to mold you in the way He wants and go out and serve Him.
