Plan of Salvation

“Jesus said to his followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.” -Mark 16:15

When you think of salvation what comes to mind? We know Jesus has promised to save those who have faith and believe in Him but who is saved? What does salvation mean? Are you only saved by your good deeds or how many times you pray? Are only the ones who give the most to Jesus saved or do we all have a chance of salvation? I like what the dictionary says “salvation is deliverance from sin and its consequences believed to brought on by faith in Christ”.

From the beginning of sin in the garden God’s plan for salvation was set in motion and Jesus’ dying on the cross for our sins show us the plan and we just have to follow it through.

Hear: Romans 10:17 -We have to hear what the Bible is telling us in scripture.

Believe: John 8:24 -We have to believe Jesus is real ans what the Bible says is true.

Repent: Luke 13:3 -We have to truly be sorry of our sins and want to follow Jesus.

Confess: 1 John 1:9 -We have to admit our sins, be honest with ourselves and with God and He will forgive us.

Be Baptized: Mark 16:16 -Baptism is a step toward belief in God, the Bible and His promise. It’s our promise to God telling Him we want to serve Him and be used by Him. It’s a promise that we will always try to do good, sin no more and walk uprightly.

Remain Faithful: Revelation 2:10 -No matter what we face, we need to trust God’s hand in our lives and that He will take care of us. As He is faithful to His promises we need to be faithful in ours to Him and our reward will be forever in heaven with Him.

Salvation in a nutshell -Jesus died for all men and God’s grace has offered salvation to all. -Titus 2:1

We can only be saved if we are in Christ. -2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 8:1
