Tips for Tuesday: Benefits of Honey

Honey is a natural sweetener and very yummy in hot drinks, flavoring food, and for some just to eat straight off a spoon. But honey can also be used in many ways for healing of many symptoms. Here is a list of uses for honey and next time when you’re feeling down try some honey!


Honey for sore throat: 1 tsp. lemon juice, 2 tsp. honey.

Take one glass of warm water. Add lemon juice and honey and mix well then drink.


Honey for cold: 1 Tbsp. lemon juice, 1 Tbsp. honey

Take one glass of warm water and add lemon juice and honey. Mix well and drink two times a day.


Honey for toothache: 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 Tbsp. honey

Apply a small amount of Cinnamon-Honey mixture directly to your tooth.


Honey for detox: 1 cup herbal tea, 1-2 tsp. honey

You can add honey to the different tea variants.


Honey for sinus: 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar, 1 Tbsp. honey

Take 250 ml of warm water. Add apple cider vinegar and honey to it. Mix well and drink.


Honey for cough: 4 tsp. lemon juice, 8 tsp. honey

Mix lemon juice and honey together. Consume 1 teaspoon of this mixture when required.


Honey for sleep: 2 tsp. honey

Consume honey before going to sleep.


Honey for weight loss: ½ tsp. Cinnamon, 1 tsp. honey

Take one glass of water (not warm/hot). Add ½ tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp honey. Mix well and drink it.
