Waiting is one of the hardest things to do. Especially with everything at our fingertips and high speed internet. I remember a time when cell phones were very hard to get. When I was dating and first married I only got a hold of my boyfriend, now husband, with a pager and even then we had to wait until there was a phone to call from . Internet was dial-up and slow but that was okay because we still got to search the web or play games. But now cell phones have pretty much replaced everything and anyone can find anything at any moment, so waiting patiently has become harder to do.
But, God has asked us to do just that. He already knows our future and has it all planned out. Now He asks us to just wait patiently for Him to act. He has told us that when we ask in His name, He will give it to us (Matthew 7:7). But it is all i n His timing. Sometimes things do happen instantly and other times we have to wait for that "dial-up" speed. It could be a year from now, two or more. We need to just be patient and trust that God knows when we're ready and what we can handle. We just need to wait and not lose faith and the only way we can do that is by having a relationship with God. Talk with Him, study His word, spend time daily with Him. The waiting will be so much more pleasant when you do.
